Life Art Photographs :: Wedding Photography

This weekend was pretty quiet for us so I opted to head out with Joey and Laura from Life Art Photographs to do a little “third shooting”. They were kind enough to let me tag along for EJ and Megan’s wedding.  Laura and Joey do tremendous work and we’ve become good friends over the past few months. There were a total of five photographers at this wedding! The groom is an AP photographer and understands the importance of getting great shots. So this wedding was covered better than any rockstar’s wedding! I only stayed for a few candid’s and the ceremony. Congratulations to the lovely couple and a big thank you to Laura and Joey!

Loading up and getting ready to head out!

A quick stop at La Mie for some of the most delicious pastry and sandwiches this side of the Mississipi!

I’m a sucker for vintage clothing and I absolutely love this dress! It’s got a little of the vintage flair and the shoes were perfect!

Anyone seen my bag?

David and Spot – Puppy!

Here are some great shots captured of my cousin David and his pup spot. Absolutely adorable! These were all caught on film with the Mamiya RB67 w/Fuji 800z and the B&W were shot with the Canon 1V w/Neopan 1600 (had no need for that but it’s what was loaded). These were taken in a matter of 15-20 minutes once I started shooting. I don’t get to see my aunt and uncle as often as I’d like but hopefully that’ll change.  Somes great shots guys!

Other note: All of these (with the exception of the wide narrow crops) were untouched. I simply cleaned the negative of dust after the scan. 800z is absolutely beautiful.

Jennifer and James :: Engaged

First ever Des Moines Photographer Meetup Group Shoot! It was awesome! Clouds were a little disconcerting but the rain held out and let us shoot for over an hour! Jennifer is actually a local photographer herself. Check her out over at Fire Lily Photography. They both were so comfortable in front of the camera that it allowed us to concentrate on composition and getting some great images. Thanks again to everyone for coming out. I’ll have some ‘behind the scenes’ shots added a bit later, so stay tuned!

Welcome Baby Eliza!

You may remember Ryan and Kathleen from their awesome engagement last year, rockin wedding last summer and their gorgeous  maternity photos just a few weeks back.  They have started a new chapter in their relationship with the birth of their adorable baby girl, Eliza.  Congratulations Ryan and Kathleen! We are so happy for you!
